A spacer lift will, for the most part, maintain your stock "ride". The feel of the FJ will not really change, only the height. A suspension lift, sense you're replacing both spring and shock, yes, it will definitely feel different. Most will say for the better, but that's up for interpretation. Spacer will probably be fine for you. But, you know yourself obviously better than we do, so if you think that you'll put a spacer lift on there, and then get out there and want more, and ultimately decide on putting a suspension lift on, then save your money and go with the suspension lift right off the bat. Plus, if you want to go with an after market bumper and winch one day, you'll need a new suspension. The stock setup cannot handle that much weight.
