Well I found my FJ, it's a 2007 Black Cherry. ARB bull bumper and Bud Built skids. 130,xxx miles on it. I live in Tulsa Oklahoma and found it thru carguro.com paid $13,000 seemed like a great deal. The previous owner was less than forthcoming on the condition. Cracked windshield, later I found this to not be out of the unusual.
The FJ had been neglected the past few years and needed some work. The right tail light lens was broken, the dead petal toast as well as the floor mats and the drivers sear. The OME suspension was compliably trashed according to the 4X4 shop that looked at it for me. The oil pan bolt stripped out, but to the sellers credit he did disclose that and had already bought the parts for the repair.
The seller hadn't had any luck selling it so started "Parting it out" So all the goodies were sold off, I really wouldn't think that would make a difference, but I don't really know.
None of the fluids had been changed so I got after that and also past that. Found a local person selling her stock rack, a little TLC and with a little work that project is almost done. The front lights were missing and the dead petal was broken. Took off the BS stock running boards and replaced them with some reality cool AP s been removing a ton of unwires installed very poorly. But it's coming along.
