werd. Welcome aboard. So what kind of FJ did you get? What kind of driving do you want to do with her? What is your favorite color?

I got myself a blue 2007. I just moved so I have to find some new friends and go out driving. I like to explore when I can. She has one of the upgrade packages for that time. I had the rock rails put on for now. I will eventually get pictures up.

Right on. VB has always been one of my favorite colors. To me it's the most retro looking color.

Hello to all! I just joined the FJ community and am thrilled to be a part of it. I just bought a 2008 Sandstorm. I thought I always wanted the VB, but changed my mind at the last minute. I wan't to throw on a luggage rack and fog lights, but was curious if it makes a huge difference whether or not the parts are OEM? I apologize if this is the wrong thread, but I would appreciate any feedback or a steer in the right direction.

Capt Sensible 11-13-2011 02:09 PM

Doktorkev, welcome aboard. Next time you should start your own thread, but since the damage is already done, no it doesn't matter. There is a very large non oem parts market for the FJC. Of course with that there are some aftermarket products that suck and should be avoided. If you're looking at roof racks, you can never go wrong with Baja, ARB, Gobi, and a few others. These things come with some pretty hefty price tags, but their usefulness compared to the OEM is ten fold. Fog lights, hella, pia, lightforce, etc... Fog lights, if they cost a lot, they're probably good. But with all things, before you spend your hard earned money on it, do a little bit of research, and save yourself some possible heartache.
