Obviously it varies from bumper to bumper, but for the most part, I like tube bumpers up front, and plate for the back.

I think plate looks better up front, but a lot of guys like tube... Different strokes I guess.. I think the Demello, ARB, and WARN look great... I like the traditional look of the WARN but they are $$$$ and not necessarily the lightest for your $$..

Plate all the way. Tube bumpers look like you keft you skirt at home and got caught with a G-string on. Not to mention the safety factor. I went with ARB because it's the only one air bag rated.

The ARB is the only (to my knowledge) aftermarket bumper with crumple zone in it's mounting brackets. As far as "air bag rated" that is the only difference between it and other bumpers.

I got the Demello plate front. It was one of the lightest if I remember. I knew I was going to add about another 80 lbs. with a winch also. Used 90' of synthetic line as opposed to steel to also keep the weight down.

Side shot of Demello plate before lights and winch.

Yes the Demello is one of, if not the, lightest plate bumpers. They are very nice.

Default how about a mix?

We at Orange Boxx Design and Fabrication have in the design studio a mix of both a plate and tube...actually we are thinking of a three piece design ...plate center section with tube wings...
