right on. ever take them offroad?

BIRDMAN 02-02-2011 12:08 AM

I did actually. the tires sucked in the mud but the wheels held up well. I have XD wheels on my Raptor now, they are a good wheel IMO

Shit you must be the #1 Stunna!

I put dubs on cars - when I ride, I'm fly....We thugs, not stars, bitch - ride or die!!

These are the only wheels that belong on the FJ IMO..

Meh... Those are nice. Nicer than the ugly alloys that came with the FJ "stock".

BIRDMAN 02-03-2011 09:48 AM

i love love love the 07 TRD FJ's. I think they are the best looking SUV's on the road. Just sinister looking.

Capt Sensible 02-03-2011 11:38 AM

The '07 TRD didn't have blacked out trim?

Capt Sensible 02-03-2011 07:38 PM

Hmmm, never noticed.

JackRabbit_Slim 02-04-2011 06:02 AM

You're not a fan of the TRD's? Man i've been drooling all over those since before I got mine... I might be about to pick up a set... It sucks I find silver TRD's brand new for $600 for a set of 5... I'll be paying at least a grand for 5 Gun Metal TRD's...

Capt Sensible 02-04-2011 06:20 AM

Ouch. I payed roughly $400 for all 5 of my wheels.

OK, fair enough.

BIRDMAN 03-11-2011 12:43 AM

the dealership i traded it in to even liked them :D

Capt Sensible 03-11-2011 06:48 AM

Of course they liked them. They just bought them from you, and are now going to try to sell the vehicle they're attached to, probably for a lot more than they spent.

16" TT wheels from 2008 (maybe other years too). You pretty much can't get them, unless you buy them used, and you're going to pay a ricockulous amount for them.

OK ... scratch those off the list. LOL

I'm contemplating 285/75/16 tires & rims. Read quite a few spots that this is doable with no alteration necessary, ie, meaning no lifts rev. As long as the right rims are used, since you have to accommodate the calipers and such.. So I'm shopping and looking around ...

Capt Sensible 06-26-2011 05:38 PM

Not just rims, but tires too. I have 285/75/16 mickey thompson baja claws, and 16" procomp series 87's. I also have a 3" toytec ultimate lift. I had to get the body mount chopped because I would rub on a full turn.

What is the rim size? I read over on one other forums, where somebody was running 285/75/16s with American Racing Black Mojave 16s without any lift.
