Lift?

Who's running one? What you got? I'm running a Toytec ultimate 3 inch lift and Light Racing UCA. I need to get some more pictures.

Here it is the day of the install, all spread out.

So how does it look on your FJ?

Capt Sensible 02-03-2011 01:25 AM

Looks good, and rides good. Speed bumps suck just a little, but I guess that is them doing their job right?

JackRabbit_Slim 02-03-2011 06:55 AM

I want some pics of your rig Capt... Got any before and after the lift...? What's the toytec 3" cost? I'm still weighing my options for my lift... And saving my coins..

Capt Sensible 02-03-2011 09:40 AM

I don't have the paperwork in front of me, but Off the top of my head I want to say the toytec ultimate was about $1200 total. I bought mine with the Light Racing UCA's at the same time, so it's hard to say exactly how much the lift was but in total is was roughly $1,500 give or take a little. Definitely more than an OME setup (like Tom is running) but they're adjustable. If Tom starts adding to much stuff, he'll need to start replacing his springs. I'm not sure if he'll have to replace the actual shock.

I'll be honest I don't know a whole lot about suspension. Shocks, struts, springs, coilovers. Not 100% which means which. I know you've got springs and shocks. Springs support the weight and give you the cushioning and the shock keeps it stable and from bouncing all over the place.

Here's how she looks with her lift.

OH I do want to point out, that the only thing that was factory red was the springs on the front. But my analretentevness kicked in and I wanted it all to match so I painted the UCA and rear springs. I had Stan over at TheToyOutfitters paint my LCA for me after he made them.

Nice Christmas lights... douchebag

Capt Sensible 02-04-2011 05:11 AM

Hey... the FJ was in the christmas spirit. I know we drove all the way to your mom's house just to personally give her a package.

JackRabbit_Slim 02-04-2011 05:39 AM

Oh yeah? That must be why she was so disappointed this christmas.
